(Ingredients for 6 serves)

1/2 kilogram of fabes. 1 kilogram of collard. 4 medium sized potatoes. 2 chorizos asturianos. 2 morcillas from Asturias. 250 of pork ear, tail or snout. Salt.

Leave the Fabes to soak in water from the day before cooking.

Heat a high pot with 2/4 parts of water and add the chorizos and morcillas (pricked with a fork), the fabes and the pork ear or snout. When it starts boiling put the lid, turn the heat down and leave it cook for an hour and a half.

After this time add the collard cut into bits and the potatoes in big pieces. Add salt if necessary and keep the pot with the lid on and at a low heat for about 45 minutes more, until everything is soft. Then take it away from the heat and wait about 20 minutes before eating.

Before serving, cut the morcillas, chorizos and pork ear or snout into even pieces.

It must be taken into account that the water to boil the legumes must be free from lime .
